Gwalior, MP, Aug 14: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s former sarsanghachalak K C Sudarshan today said father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi was responsible along with Pakistan Founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the partition of the country.

Mr Sudarshan made the statement while addressing a seminar organised by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch here.

Throwing light on the work done by the RSS since its establishment, Mr Sudarshan said the Congress has defamed the RSS by following the policy of divide and rule of British with the intention of keeping Muslims as its vote bank.

He said the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru allowed use of English language for ten years after independence thereby making it the country’s first language instead of second language.

Mr Sudarshan said Mahatma Gandhi — who was accepted in other countries as well — had made certain mistakes before the partition.

This included supporting Khilafat movement that was later crushed by the British.
